Sikkim, nestled in the eastern Himalayas, is a captivating tourist destination known for its stunning natural landscapes, vibrant Buddhist culture, and serene atmosphere. This enchanting state offers a perfect blend of scenic beauty, adventure, and spiritual retreats, which you can experience with our Sikkim tour packages. Begin your journey from Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim - a bustling hill town, that charms visitors with its pleasant weather, vibrant markets, and delectable street food. The famous MG Marg is a hub of activity, where visitors can shop for local handicrafts and savour mouthwatering cuisine. Further, you will embark on a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake. This glacial lake, surrounded by majestic mountains, is believed to foretell the future through the changing colors of its waters, as predicted by Buddhist monks. The journey continues to Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, an Indian Army soldier. The legend goes that his spirit protects and guides the soldiers in the region, making it a place of great reverence.

The next leg of the journey leads to Lachen, a quaint village in North Sikkim. En route, you'll witness the magnificent Naga Falls and the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung Rivers at Chungthang Village. The journey through the Kanchenjunga National Park is an opportunity to appreciate the region's rich biodiversity. Lachen serves as a gateway to Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in the country. The lake, named after Guru Padmasambhava, offers awe-inspiring views and is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Sikhs. The journey then takes you to Lachung, where you'll visit Yumthang Valley, often referred to as the "valley of flowers." This picturesque valley showcases a stunning variety of rhododendrons and other alpine flowers. You can also take a relaxing dip in the hot springs of Yumthang Valley, which is truly a rejuvenating experience.
The itinerary concludes with a return to Gangtok, leaving visitors with cherished memories of the journey. Sikkim, with its majestic lakes, enchanting valleys, and spiritual significance, offers a captivating experience that lingers in the hearts of all who visit.

NOTE: Aadhaar and Pan Cards are not acceptable in Sikkim as valid ID proofs. Documents which are accepted in Sikkim: Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, Govt. Official ID. It is mandatory to carry at least one of these IDs to enter restricted areas and will be checked at the entry posts.

 

NOTE: Please book arrival flight which is arriving before 11:00 am and departure flight which is departing after 03:00 pm from Bagdogra.

 

NOTE: The age limit of our group departures is 16 to 42 years due to the power packed itineraries that we provide to our travelers. We can customize trips for travelers beyond the mentioned age bracket.

 

NOTE: Extra mattress will be provided for triple sharing occupancy.

Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) - Transfers to Gangtok

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/ New Jalpaijuri Railway Station (NJP), get assisted by our representative and transfer to Gangtok. En route you will take a short stopover at the Triveni View Point, whick is a confluence of Teesta and Rangeet rivers. Enjoy your scenic drive to Gangtok through the meandering roads along the Teesta River. Visit MG Marg on your own in the evening. Reach Gangtok and check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay. 

Day 2: Day Excursion Tour to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, Nathula Pass 

After breakfast, we will proceed for a full-day excursion around Gangtok. We will start by visiting the glacial Tsomgo Lake also known as Changu Lake, known for its scenic beauty and changing colors.

Further, we drive towards the Baba Mandir, dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh who was a soldier of the Indian Army. Next, you will hire a taxi to visit Nathula Pass, which is an Indo-China border post (subject to availability and additional cost as applicable). Return back to Gangtok for an overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Gangtok to Lachen | Travel to North Sikkim

 

After breakfast, you will drive to Lachen (125 Km / 06 hours). On the way, we will take a short stopover at Naga Falls which is also regarded as one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim. Further, we will cross the Chungthang Village which houses the confluence of Lachen and Lachung Rivers. Take the left road from Chungthang and travel through the Kanchenjunga National Park to reach Lachen. Overnight stay in Lachen.

 

Day 4: Lachen to Lachung | Visit Gurudongmar Lake

 

Have your breakfast early in the morning and get ready for the day. We will then travel further North to visit the Gurudongmar Lake - one of the highest lakes in the country. En route, you will pass through Thangu Village (13450ft), a remote high-altitude village of Tibetan Nomads. Spend some time admiring the views of Gurudongmar Lake, named after Guru Padmasambhava. Later, we will begin our drive to Lachung, while having lunch on the way. Upon reaching Lachung in the evening, check-in and have some rest. Overnight stay in Lachung.

 

Day 5: Lachung to Gangtok | Visit Yumthang Valley and Zero Point (optional)

 

Post breakfast in the morning and we will start our drive to the north of Lachung. Our first stop for the day will be Yumthang Valley which is also known as “the valley of flowers” and is regarded as “the Switzerland of North East” due to its scenic beauty. We will visit the Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary which lies in the Yumthang Valley. After exploring the Valley, you can further visit Zero Point, the last outpost of civilization (optional). Upon completing the sightseeing, we will start our drive back to Gangtok. Reach Gangtok and check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Daparture | Take back a lot of memories to cherish

 

After having your breakfast in the morning, you will board your transfer for Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP). Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at the airport/ railway station for your onward journey. Board your train/flight back home with fantastic trip memories.
